A Bit About Us

CREATING SPACES OF ENDURING BEAUTY

AboutUs

It all began with a little imagination. Our story began in 1979 when Sacramento native Jim Loehr envisioned owning his own tile installation company. Jim always had a fascination for the art of tile setting and a natural knack for working with his hands. So, along with his partner Tim Sherman, Jim set forth to fulfill his dream. With little more than a bucket between the two of them, the two quickly made a name for themselves. Their passion for tile and dedication to treating their customers right paved their way, and the two were soon enjoying a hard-earned reputation for doing superior work.

Today, Sherman-Loehr Custom Tile Works is a leader in the installation of high quality tile products, providing beautiful, functional enduring solutions in both residential and commercial applications. Tim has since retired, but Jim remains at the helm of the company and is still active in day-to-day operations.

Family-owned and operated, Sherman-Loehr is committed to providing only the finest products and service. It’s a commitment that has guided our way to becoming the premier tile installation company in the greater Sacramento/Central Valley. And is proof that a little imagination can go a long way.

Building Builder Relationships

TileFireplace

Most of the builders we work with have been our clients for years. They return time and again because we do good work, stand behind our installs, and are there when they need us. Though we are a family-owned company, we are large enough to have the flexibility to make a schedule work, yet small enough to provide the personal service that is the foundation of a strong client relationship. Our list of clients past and present includes:

  • Christopherson Homes
  • Del Webb
  • Elliott Homes
  • New Faze Development
